When we meet

What to expect at our Sunday Worship Gathering

At Light and Life, we invite people to come to our worship gathering as they are; our style is informal, and dress is casual. We begin our Sunday worship at 10:30am with a welcome from one of the pastors. This is generally followed by about thirty minutes of contemporary worship often interspersed with video clips, bible readings and prayers. After that will usually be a message from the Bible, an opportunity to receive prayer if you so desire, all wrapped up with tea, coffee and biscuits.

TruroMeetingPic1We encourage people to bring their children to church. For those aged 0-12 we run ‘Children’s Church’, a parallel meeting to the main meeting aimed at the kids. This is a place where children can discover more about God with their friends in a loving, safe and fun environment. All groups are run by CRB checked workers.

Mid-week

TruroMeetingPic2As a church, we meet together in smaller groups during the week. These small groups provide the perfect setting to meet with friends, be supported and encouraged to grow deeper in your relationship with God. These groups (Growth Groups) are small by design (8 – 12 people) and are linked together with a number of other Growth Groups to form a cluster of Growth Groups known as a Congregation.

A typical evening begins at 7:30pm with coffee and then worshiping together with other Growth Groups from the congregation in a slightly larger setting before breaking down into the smaller Growth Groups. Here you will have opportunity for pray if you desire and enjoy a time of sharing and teaching. From time to time Growth Groups and Congregations may organize social events. In essence they are a place where we can belong, receive pastoral care, grow in our faith and have fun.

We currently have over 9 growth groups, located in Truro and Redruth.  Feel free to contact the church on 01872 263204 or email us here if you need more information.
