Growth Groups

Why?

In a growing church it is essential to be a part of as smaller caring community. Growth Groups provide both a great context for friendship, but also a great wat we can help each other grow in our faith. They are the principal means by which we pastor, supportand care for one another. They are not one programme amongst many that wesupport as a church; they are the heart of the church.

 

What?

Each growth group has 3 objectives.

1. Grow vertically – e.g. Prayer, study, discussion, worship
2. Grow horizontally – e.g. Food, fun, friendship, practical support
3. Grow numerically – e.g. Praying for lost, inviting people, multiplication

There is no set format to a Growth Group, but theywould include the above elements.

 

Who?

Every Growth Group is a mini expression of Church, and is the heart of pastoral care and spiritual development. As the church continues to grow it is within these groups that people will increasingly receive the general support we all need.
