Baptisms at Gyllyngvase Beach
Sunday 20th July saw about a hundred people picnicking, having fellowship and rejoicing together as five people from Light & Life in Truro went through the waters of baptism at Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth.
In our Church Service at Richard Lander School in Truro, prior to the baptisms, each one had given a wonderful testimony of how they had come to faith in the Lord Jesus. Each testimony so different, but all very moving and quite a few hankies appearing, to wipe away tears of joy! We had lots of laughter too as some read out amusing incidents of how they tried to delude themselves that they didn't really need God in their life and how God had graciously shown them how much they did need Him!
It was a wonderful public witness of changed lives as these five affirmed their new life in the Lord Jesus Christ, and obeyed His command to be baptised.
The weather was glorious, and the beach had lots of people watching the unusual occurence! We pray that many of them may begin to think about what they saw, and come to faith in God.
