Penwith

Phil Jensen and his wife Christine joined Penwith Light & Life in 2011. They have two children. Phil and his family moved down to Penzance from Newcastle via Los Angeles (it’s a long story!). Their passion is to see a church that is living out the reality of the gospel in Penzance and beyond. In his spare time Phil is partial to a bit of fishing, playing badminton, and watching footie.

Hayle

Bob Hardman and his wife Christine joined Penwith Light & Life in 2010 after having spent over 20 years running Christian book shops in Preston and Lancaster. They have three daughters. Bob's heart is to be a "shepherd" to the flock and to help the church reach out into the community with the "good news" of Jesus Christ. Bob likes cars, F1, bodyboarding and holidays in France with his family.

Truro

Jonny Giddens and his wife Hannah have been a part of Light and Life since 2001. They have a passion and calling to see the church rediscover its radical roots and to once more see Cornwall transformed by the power of God. They have three girls, Ellie-May, Bella and Rosie. In his spare time Jonny enjoys surfing, dinner parties and the odd round of golf.

Simon Gardner moved to Cornwall in 2011, with his wife Julie, son Joel and daughter Maria (their eldest Zak is at university in Leeds). He’s been a pastor for 19 years with the Free Methodist Church in Lancashire and is excited to see what God is going to do as he joins a great church and leadership team in Truro. Extra to the above he loves cake and theme parks.

Helston

Michael Bretton and his wife Lesley, having served at Carnforth Free Methodist Church for 11 years, joined Light and Life in January 2009. They have a great love for the church and an enthusiasm to see people live intentionally for God's glory. When not ‘doing stuff’ with his two boys, Michael enjoys football, walking and visiting places he’s never been to before.

St Austell

John Townley moved to Cornwall in 1994 to pastor the Helston church which under his leadership planted churches in Penzance and Truro. He is a member of the Free Methodist National Leadership team and he oversees all of Light and Life, Cornwall. John and his wife Becky are now pioneering a church plant in St. Austell. John has four grown-up children.
