Bible School
What is it?
Did Adam have a belly button? What on earth is the Trinity? How can I understand the book of Revelation?
The Bible school explores questions like these. It does not require qualifications or previous study but simply a desire to learn. The aim of the course is to know God’s Truth well enough to share God’s Truth.
How does it work?
The course runs for two hours per week in term time and lasts one year. It consists of the following five modules:
- Bible Overview – from Genesis to Revelation. How the pieces of the jigsaw fit together
- Bible Reading – How to get the most out of reading the Bible
- Bible Truths I + II – What is God like and how has He revealed Himself? What is mankind like and how can we be saved?
- Bible Believers – What has the church been up to for the last 2000yrs?
The course costs £30 per module (concessions available). You can do as many modules as you like. The course is led by Pastor Andrew Ollerton who has a Theology degree and serves on the Light and Life team, based in Penzance.
What previous students say:
- ‘I thoroughly enjoyed every session. The lectures provided space for open debate, worship and friendship. The Bible school is the best thing I ever did on Saturday morning!’ - Naomi from Helston
- ‘After being a Christian for 35 yrs, I thought I knew the Bible. This course has given me fresh insight and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. It should be compulsory for all Christians!’ - Dave from Penzance
