What is Alpha?

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It is relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun.

Each evening begins with tea or coffee and a dessert, which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.

Listen, learn, discuss and discover. Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is to simple or too hostile and it’s supported by all main Christian denominations.

What’s involved?

The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as “Who is Jesus?”, “Why did he die?” and “Why and How do I pray?” After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.

Wellspring is a fresh and exciting Bible Festival facilitated by Light and Life for the Free Methodist Church UK and beyond. Based at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, the event runs from 4-8 August 2008.

What a week!

The sun shone and so did God - we were blessed.  With over 600 booked on for the week and over 1000 on the Wednesday night - it was an amazing time with people regaining their love for God and his gospel, and some making first time commitments to follow Jesus.  It was an event for ’such a time as this’.

Plans are already underway for Wellspring 08 - Shaped for the task.   

No Growth Groups for August.  Please see church notices for news of when they will begin again.

Truro Light and Life will be meeting at Treyew School next Sunday morning as a one off due to the race for life event at Richard Lander School.  Usual time - 10:30.
