With Live Jazz, buffet and after dinner talk….

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It is relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun.

Each evening begins with tea or coffee and a dessert, which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.  Listen, learn, discuss and discover. Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is to simple or too hostile and it’s supported by all main Christian denominations.

What’s involved?
The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as “Who is Jesus?”, “Why did he die?” and “Why and How do I pray?” After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.

Water-Ma-Trout Building

 

Please bring food and good footwear.

 This will be a circular walk taking in our lovely countryside and heritage, finishing for tea at our highly prestigious premises at Water-Ma-Trout.
The expedition will take between 2 & 3 hours.  For those who wish a shorter version please contact me so that I can strategically place transport & chauffeur!

If you don’t wish to walk but like food please come and join us at the conclusion of our

exercise about 4ish.

Helston Light and Life Alpha

The next Alpha Course for Helston Light and Life church will start at 7pm on Saturday October 20th 2007. The venue will be at ‘Gidrene’ 1 Osborne Parc, Helston.

Supper…
There is a light meal together at the beginning of each session, which gives people a chance to get to know each other.

Talk…
After each talk we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions and express opinions.

Coffee & Small Groups…
Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Aokha is a place where no question is tosimple or too hostile.

  • A ny questions you may have about Jesus Christ can be answered during the informal but very informative Aplha course.
  • L ife is full of problems big and small, but a relationship with Jesus will make these problems much easier to deal with.
  • P eople are important to God, not their success or material things. When you leave this life you take nothing with you.
  • H ope of eternal life is found when we accept it as a fift through Jesus; we cannot earn it.
  • A ll human relationshp would be peaceful if everyone lived by biblical htemes that Jesus taught.
